Head of School Search
Opening for Trinity Episcopal Head of School
Trinity Episcopal School is seeking an enthusiastic and effective Head of School who is
committed to furthering both the School’s mission and its vision to “empower students to
grow as children of God and nurture their passion for learning within a caring, Christian
community.” The successful candidate will demonstrate effective leadership in overseeing
day-to-day school operations, recruiting and retaining outstanding teachers, and shaping
school programs and the quality of life in a school community.
Situated in an established neighborhood in Victoria, Texas, Trinity Episcopal School is
located 30 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico in the city known as the “Crossroads”
because of its location within a two-hour drive from Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Houston,
and Austin. This co-ed school with approximately 300 students (K3-8) was established in
1954 and is housed on the campus of Trinity Episcopal Church whose parish was formally
organized in 1869. Trinity Episcopal School has served as a major outreach of the Parish
since the School’s inception.
The goal of Trinity Episcopal School is to introduce its students to innovative, creative, and
proven teaching methods while realizing there is an intellectually curious learner within
every child. As a means of accomplishing this goal, the School consists of three campuses:
Early Learning Center (K3-K4), Lower School (K5-Grade 5), and Middle School (Grades 6-8).
These individual buildings allow students to remain in developmentally appropriate
surroundings for the majority of their day. The pursuit of excellence is central to all that they
do. To create a campus that encourages spiritual growth and academic excellence, a new
master plan has recently been completed for the expansion of the Church and School. The
campaign is scheduled to launch in fall 2017.
The next Head of School for Trinity Episcopal School will be expected to embrace the
School’s mission and direct a vision that strengthens the School’s pathway to excellence.
Interested candidates should provide a résumé, cover letter highlighting their interest and fit
for the position, a statement of educational philosophy, and a list of five (5) references with
